Ok so I have a 75 duster with a 225 /6 will my auto trans bolt up to my 340 on the engine stand? I got the car with another trans but it is another 904 that the guy said will bolt to my 340. Now are there different 904s between /6 and V8? Or is it the same bolt pattern to bolt to the engine?

Sorry if I missed the thread somewhere but I did look hoping to keep from lookin like an idiot.........

/6 and small block trans will not interchange
neither will big and small block

Ok thanks.... new question will I have to swap driveshafts when I swap in my V8 904 or is everything still the same?

If the transmission is the same length and bolts to the original trans mount it will unless you changed rear ends.
