Im seeing a lot of 440s from RVs on craigslist lately going for only a few hundred bucks. Im very tempted to buy one. I understand the heads are lacking in order to make some performance from them, but other than that are there any major differences between the late 70s RV 440s, and the late 60s passenger car beasts?
compression will be a lot lower the pistons usually sit much further down in the hole and i believe the rv and truck blocks have the "8" shape cooling holes in them
