Reading a thread about something totally different, I got the impression that the poster needed to get a different timing cover for his dual chain timing set to fit.
I'm putting a new cam into my '75 318 and are going to change timing set at the same time since it still has its original set in now.
I was thinking of going dual chain - do I have to get a different cover to pull this off?

I don't think so, I put a double roller in my 74 teen with the original cover.

double or single don't matter with the cover, changing out to a double roller is a cheap/easy performance upgrade
