Now another dilemma...I bought a used dipstick and tube from a guy online and it looks nice and clean and undamaged. The problem is that it fits loosely in the block. How should I go about tightening this thing up in the hole?
Dan

do you have timing cover off ? if ya do put sealant around it shove it in .... take something and bell the end in the bottom of the hole ..........wont pull out that way .......

I just gobbed the silicone arount the end, slid it in and wiped off the access to clean it up some, stick is solid enough that it doesn't flop around or pull out when checking the oil
