Can anybody tell me the correct dipstick to use with a rear sump oil pan. I have done an engine swap with a 318 and needed to use the rear sump oil pan that I believe was used in some trucks/vans. The dipstick still goes in at the front of the motor using the regualr dipstick tube and there is a guide on the side of the oil pan to feed it down to the back.

Here are a couple of pictures for reference:

I'd love one if you are up for posting it to Australia otherwise just the correct length would be a great start.

I've been looking on line but I'm not convinced that you would get the right one and not a regular car dipstick.

Stock standard truck.
I could pull the stick out of my truck, and measure the tube, stock 78 318 W150 if needed.

Or just dump 5.5 qts of oil in it with a stock short truck filter, start it up, let it cool off and mark the dip-stick.

Rough measure on the tube that goes into the block 10.5 inches.
Dip stick length from where it seats on the tube to tip 29 inches.

Thanks for that, any chance of the measurements for the high and low marks?
