Disassembling a bench seat

I'm parting out a bench seat, and am having trouble taking it apart. The top half is held on by a pin and a retainer clip I believe. How do I seperate the top half of the seat from the bottom half?

once the retainer clip is removed from the pin on the outer hinge....simply move the seat back forward like your getting in the back seat and as your going forward put pressure on the seat back outward and when the outer hinge comes off the pin lift the outer end of the seatback up and off the inner pin.
