Semi trucks for the most part have drum brakes still to this day. Unless you plan on doing some serious driving stay with the drums.

My Scamp had 4 drums on it when I bought it. I had a few instances where I had to stop on a dime and it was a scary experience each time. I later got some 73 Duster discs, non-power. Vast improvement. I'd go discs. If you don't want BBP, I'd still put on the KH's.
If you decide to go disc, particularly if you go 73-up style, shoot me a pm with any questions. I'd be glad to help out and share what I learned going through a conversion. I get where you're head spins from all the info out there on the topic, but it's not as bad as it might seem.
