Disc brakes with stock 1967 axles

I was looking for an alternative to getting new axles for my 1967 Barracuda. Does anyone know if I can redrill them for a 4.5 bolt pattern and use one of the avalible aftermarket disc brake kits? I know you need a longer axle when using the bigger 10 x 2 or 11 x 2 drum brakes. I think this would be a great alternative to completely new axles if it could work. Just a thought.

You can but it only leaves less than 1/4 of meat to the edge of axel. Would recomend against it. Get some DR.Diff axels they are great axels for the price.
