Swapping out the dish for the same icon flattop piston and the flattop is 10 grams lighter
Rebalance??

Can you check your wrist pin weights and compare, just in case this could help?

I didn’t think to do that last night but planned on it this evening
Hopefully they are a little heavier and can get me closer

they used to over balance on purpose, but I don`t remember the advantage, but there was one .

I did that exact swap and did rebalance it. Wasn’t sure on the quality of the first balance job and am sure it is in balance now. My guess is 4” stroked small block. Gives you about 2 points of compression.

My point is, what engine are we giving advice for?
Internally balanced small block with a 4 inch arm
Lots of smart asses
And if that was not your intent then I apologize. My question is simple for someone with the experience would ten grams light be a issue for maintaining a decent balance

Puts me right at 12.5 to one
Looks as if a rebalance would be the right thing to do
