Does anyone have suggestions on what to fill the original spot welded seems on the top other than the crap load of bondo they originally used before i paint it.

This stuff i think its called metal to metal or something like that. it comes in a grey can at most auto paint stores. it looks like anti-sieze and is a pain to sand but works great.

How about welding them over? I did one years ago, just countersunk the holes first then backed the hole with copper and welded. If you don`t want it that permanent you may be able to again, countersink the holes and then find a flat-head countersunk bolt to install and putty over.

The old school way was to use lead. It sands/grinds down easily. Fumes off the molten stuff are probably nasty. Don't remember any more.:snakeman:

you can use the solder method using the proper solder, or the metal to metal filler which requires hardner using the same process as body fill. The metal to metal process cheaper if you don't already the supplies to do the solder method. Make sure there is no rust remenants before you cover the seam.
