Do I have my Schumacher mounts in wrong? The transmission mount is off about an inch.

What car.
What year
What engine
What k member

If you are using small block mounts on a small block k member the biscuits have a dimple in them that fits a hole in the mount that attaches to the engine.

That forces the biscuit to be up and down not front to back. I can't tell which way you have yours.

Always mount the trans mount first, the crankshaft centerline is very important front to rear.

I don't like those biscuits mounts on anything more than a stock ish application. After going to drag radials
that type of Mount just wouldn't last. As far as installation goes they do sit offset like yours. I put solid biscuit type in mine I have had no problem since.

Torque straps are a must, I've been doing big block A-body swaps since the late 70's, actually was one of the few to weld up swap mounts and use the b-body headers.

Squishy biscuits get "solidified " at my house.

My problem was even though I went to solid now and solve the breakage problem they would twist on the pedestal. I ended up running a bolt through the bottom of the mouth and through the pedestal, problem solved.
