First of all it is for a '98 Dodge Dakota V6 Magnum 3.9

How much should it cost for the 2 heads?

(My local auto shop said about $500 is that a good price or can I get them for less somewhere else?)

Ehhh too much IMO. Look on ebay, theres places selling rebuilt 3.9 heads for about $140/each with free shipping
