dodge demon tail light issues

has anyone ever had issues with tail lights not fitting correctly during a rebuild of a demon.

It appears that the tail lights do not go far enough into the tail panel.

I have tried two different tail light holders and it seems that the tail light does not sit deep enough.

any advice???

They don't go ALL the way in. The key is having a good water seal all the way around the tail light bucket.
