So my Sunday project was to get to the plenum gasket on my 5.9 ram. The job is not too bad but the front to bolts broke off and the alternator connector broke. I get the bolts drilled and taped and the reassembly starts. I button everything up and fire it and it runs and it runs well no check engine but I see a coolant leak. I had to take off the compressor and alt again to replace the factor spring clamp on the by pass hose and i put the alt and compressor back on once again. Now it won't start and the odometer says no bus. I tried connecting my scan tool and no communication. This may be my fault because I had to connect the field wires on the alt without the plastic connector and during the reassembly those wires could have touched or I might have connected them backwards. Could i of fried the PCM? I swapped ASD relay with no luck. Is there a fuse I could have blown. Please refrain from the you shouldn't terminals without connectors. I know that was stupid and my wife is already reminding me every 15 minutes.

Yes there is a fuse should be run/start. Not sure of position. What year is this truck?

Thanks for the replies so far. The truck is a 99 and its a 5.9 auto 4x4. When I get home from work today, I am going to test the fuses and start to troubleshoot. Does anybody have a 99 PCM incase I need one? I believe that PCM is for that year only.

i made a little progress with the truck last night. I now know i do not have spark or fuel. I was able to connect with the car through global OBD II and I have a code for no ASD relay output. Tonight I will see if I am missing power or ground. If it is missing ground, the pcm is bad
