I'm considering a pair of those stiffening plates that get welded onto the bottom of the lower control arm. Does anyone have experience with them? At $25 on ebay, it seems like a straightforward mission. Also, I'd appreciate any advice on what you may have done or seen done to stiffen up the K-frame to make it flex a little less. I wanna hit this stuff while I'm all apart on the floor instead of deciding to do it after I'm back together and driveable...

I appreciate it fellas...

Have you tried searching this site for past threads? It seems to me I read some info on that a while back on here.

I got a set some time ago from mancini racing IIRC . Easy enough to weld on but not really needed unless your planing on running an anti sway bar. My advice careful of the placement when you weld them on make sure you have plenty of room to get a socket on your torsion bar adjusting bolt and make sure you don't pinch the torsion bar pivot/socket and put it in a bind.

I have made my own and used the ones that Mancini sells (I bought a few sets from the manufacturer). There is something that should be done before installing the plates. A lot of LCAs have too much slop at the torsion bar socket. The two halves of the LCA need to be brought closer together. The best way to accomplish this is to cut/drill (it depends on the attachment method) the LCA bumper plate off one side of the LCA and clamping the two halves together closer while still allowing the socket to rotate.

I do this to every LCA that I rebuild for no extra charge ($35/arm which includes hot tank, bead blast, and paint; bushings extra). I will also install the stiffening plates that I provide for another $30/pair
