Does bead rolling panels shrink them?

i am doing an aluminum interior in my car. if i cut out my panels to fit and then put a bead in them, will that change the shape of the panel?

Im not certain but i think it might be a minescule difference in width before and after, because i think it streches the metal along with bending it making it a very tiny differemce. You could always do a test peice and measure it before and after and then multiply the difference by the number of bead rolls you plan to put in the panel. Sorry i cant speak from experience and only ideas lol

If you are concerned about it, I would cut the piece a tad wider, bead roll it and then trim it to size. Just a thought.

Basically, the roller is distressing the metal immediately in the vicinity of the bead, not drawing material towards it from 18" away.

If you are concerned about it, I would cut the piece a tad wider, bead roll it and then trim it to size. Just a thought.
