Hello friends at For A-Bodies Only !
Does a closed crankcase ventilation hose, and the vacuum advance for the distributer have to be plugged into the carb ? Can they be ran to a intake manifold fitting instead, and get proper results ?
Thanks, Rick

i don,t think you can cause you don,t need full time vac to the advance only under gas,but i don,t know for sure.

Not sure what you mean by "A closed crankcase ventilation hose" unless your talking about the pcv hose. If that's what you mean yes it can be ran straight to the manifold but you don't want to run manifold vacuum to the vacuum advance. It needs to be hooked up to the ported port on the carb so it only receives vacuum under part throttle.

If you plumb a PCV line to the manifold, be sure it's going to all cylinders. If you plumb it to something like a vacuum tee on one intake runner, you'll lean out that cylinder.
