Dog Dish Grip on Reproduction Steel Wheel

I worked up a set of those years ago for a guy with an old Ford truck.

After finally getting a return call, I learned the owner of Wheel Vintiques was the one spraying 28-37 mils of primer on them.

3-4 mils is the industry standard.

Good luck blasting that $hit.

That could be why the caps don't fully seat.

I have Wheel Vintiques model 63's on both the Dart and Valiant. My dog dished fit very nicely, not loose at all. However, they are factory dog dishes and I bought the wheels 3-4 years ago. YMMV!

Yep, launched a couple of the aftermarket dog dish redline caps. Silicone helped, along with cutting small grove for cap, but in the end I decided going naked was easier. Chrome lug nuts, thin red tape stripe and no more worries.
