Don't You Just Love it When a Project is Bigger Than it Seemed?

So I brought a friends car in for a quick re-paint and it turned into a full restoration.........

Found previous body work sucked. :banghead:

Quarters were replaced with an overlap of 18"......quarters at roof had over an inch of bondo.......Roof had almost 1/4" of bondo and to top it all off.......whoever removed the paint used a Grinder!

The gauges are huge.... :shock:

Oh well...a little more work and she will be complete!

Yes, It always grows the deeper you get in to a project if you are trying to do it right. I have buddy that used old oil cans, pop reiveted them on, buried it in bondo, primed, painted and called it restored. Oh, I forgot about all the spray on undercoating anywhere you see a rivet on the back side.

Beat it to fit paint it to match..

Seems like they all get bigger once the paint comes off.
