I purchased a pushrod length checker tool on Ebay and just got it today. The description in the listing says it's for a Small Block Chrysler and goes from 6.9" up to 8.35". It is an Elgin PRC-112 tool.
Excited, I get it unpackaged, open up the box and upon inspection, I'm thinking, "This thing seems a little long." Take it down to its shortest length, even taking one lock nut off, and it only goes down to 8.150"! I'm like WTF!! Took some pics next to a factory length pushrod and the difference is obvious.
Very frustrated right now and have already messaged the seller, with pics.

You'd think that the seller would've personally checked these before he went about selling them!! These are more for like a big block.
Okay, rant over.

Dude.....I totally hear you on this! What chaps my hyde is where these "professional-looking" sellers will post up about 18 inches of text about how they accept this form of payment, not that one, have specific steps for returns, blah blah blah.....check your application before ordering, we give reduced shipping cost on multiple items, check out our other items for sale......and then......have about 1 sentence about the actual item. I don't buy from those guys.

Now MY rant over!

Looks like they might have made a simple mistake. If their selling a lot of stuff they're bond to make a mistake once in a while. Lets see if they make good on it

Their mistake, you shouldn't have to pay any extra!

that just happened to me i ordered a 4x4 tail shaft and tail housing to change a ford AOD from two wheel drive over to four wheel drive well i get the shaft pull the hole trans down grab the new shaft and sit it down next to the 2wd shaft and all the oil holes are different. took the shaft in and went to Ebay. the the part i got did not even look like what i bought i called them and he told me that this was the shaft well he went and looked and guess what they finially sent the right shaft. good luck with getting it fixed

In eBay start the complaint process. Hopefully you won't need it but it will get the seller attention. Hey mistakes happen and I like to give people a chance to be decent but don't wait to start the official eBay complaint - once you are satisfied it is easy to close out the complaint.

A complaint will do no good because under eBay rules the purchaser is to send the part back on his dime. As a big business the company should eat the return shipping since they sent the wrong item... Customer service.

Got the right one today. Will send the wrong one back on Monday. If it's only a few dollars to ship, I'll just eat the cost, not worth haggling over $2 or $3.
