I've got everything I can see disconnected. The window is still sliding in the forward track, I can't get it out of the track. Does the roll up window come out still attached to the wing window assembly? Or does the window have to come out first?

I don't have a shop manual yet. I just ordered one on e-bay, but I would like to get past this step...

Oh and one more question. I messed up the plastic "button" that holds the window to the little piece of track at the bottom of the window. How is that button supposed to come out without breaking it? And where can I get a replacement??

Thanks!!

There are a couple screws holding the vent window assembly in place. Loosen those and the glass will come right out the top along with the forward glass glides.
That little plastic rivet is a biotch. A small punch will drive the center pin on through and out the back without damaging the outer part SOMETIMES
if you're lucky. I usually just use a piece of rubber tubing cut longer than the glass is thick and put a 1/4" bolt with flat washers and nyloc nut in it. The rubber keeps the glass off the bolt.

Thanks for the tips. I'll get back at it;)

That did the trick. Thanks for your help.

One more thing though. When the window came out of the vent window track the felt and plastic guide that should be attached to the window basically disintegrated. Do you have a source for those?
