Door Jam Switches?????

Hey Guys.

We need your help,we have gone crazy looking for door jam switches for my sons 73 Duster,we ve been to kraegen,autozone, napa, J c whitney,Moparts on the web.The problem is that all these switches are too small for the hole in the door jam.The application calls for a 3/8-24 switch but this switch falls right through.Im not sure but I think what I need is something more like 7/16 diameter.
Has anyone ran across this in their a-body before.let me know if you had any luck getting these bigger switches

Ok Guys Im Desparate Now,what Do You Think About Using A Heli-coil On The Switches,im Stuck With A Set That I Bought On Line,cant Return Em Anyway So I Thought I Might Try Using Something Like A Helicoil,ted You Might Be Right About Someone Modifing The Hole In The Jamb,after Really Looking At Them,they Do Look Drilled Out.

can u weld the hole shut then start over ? little bit of time should look like factory again
