Door latch compatability

Admittly i did not do any searching on FABO for the answer, i did look on google for the parts and it seens thay are compatable 67 thru 76.

Is the door lock mechanism, the part that latches to the strike post, the same 67 through 76?

AMD has this but lists it as 68, no listing of 68 thru ???? Etc.

not sure what years need to lock door with key but other than that, yes

69 is definitely different than 67 or 8. Now whether 69 is the same thru 76 I dont know.

when they changed the door to the no vent window style and moved the interior door handle, I think the latch changed significantly???

you can use a 69 latch on a 70 but you have to remove a little post and use the 70 connection instead.

Inside lock knob position changed between '68 and '69, so, latch changed a bit too. They all should fit the door and striker, but, there are some linkage differences.

Al, are trying to say that i should have a Dana and a Dana in a Dart?
