I purchased my 318 '68 Barracuda Fastback from the original owner in 1985 where it had sat on blocks since 1979. Most of the car was original, however, there were still a handful of items that had been either repaired, replaced, or just missing over the years. Still the car was amazingly original at the time.

One thing that I noticed missing was any sort of door lock ferrule. My car does have the two-tone standard interior (burgundy/white). I do have the original door lock knobs that are burgundy in color. There doesn't seem to be any wear markings on the doors where the ferrules would have gone. I have seen stainless ferrules, clear plastic, and stainless with fuzzies listed in restoration catalogs. Would any of these have been on my car? Any Barracuda owners out there have original ferrules still on their cars?

Thanks for any information you can provide.

Thats the same way my Dart was. No ferrules but the original paint was not messed up at a either. I ended up just geting the plastic set and painting them but I need to get another set as the cheap peices of crap both broke. They just flop around in there now that the mounting tabs are gone. Got them from yearone. Total junk!

I got some of the stainless ones from Hoover on Ebay. Pretty nice part but hard to install.
