Door Locks

yes the dodge dealer can do it for you or sometimes smaller places get into it as well, it involves taking the key to them and the lock cylinders and they match tumblers to the shape of the key

if you can find a small shop that does it it will be around $15 to $20 each but a dodge dealer is over $60 with my experince, you don't have the orginal door locks that take the key that fits the trunk? or the lock cylinder for the trunk that the key to the doors fit?

Doors and Ignition are same Key (Penta Head).
Trunk, Glovebox, and Console are same Key (Round Head).

This is a great article on how to rekey mopar locks.

Problem is, I'm about 90% sure that your trunk and door locks take a different key blank. Check the grooves that run the length of the keys. If they are different, you won't be able to use one key in both locks.

Thanks for that link, we have several extra locks so I may try this first and then if i cant get it go to a locksmith:toothy10:

oh yeah been awhile since I have my valiant out, there should be two keys for it to start with one round and one penta head like you said, I'm so used to my daily driver car that has one key for everything that I forgot that,

so 72dart_swinger why do you need to get the door locks rekeyed then? they are suppost to be on the same key for the ignition and the trunk on a completly different one.

I got what was a supposed matched set, i thought door/trunk the same and ignition different, but now i know it is door/ignition, and trunk different. regardless the key for the 2 door locks was missing, so I need to re-key the door locks to match the ignition
