The color of my ‘68 Dodge Dart interior panels is pearl. They are in good condition but the color has darkened/yellowed some with age. I am considering using a vinyl paint to restore them to closer to the original look. Maybe I’m being picky but any thoughts on using the paint for vinyl material to try and restore the color? Any experience with this type of application?

Thanks for the reply!

Buy a quality product, and get the adhesion promoter, AND follow the instructions for prep and application.

It does a fine job, IMO.

Vinyl paint works great. Some colors cover better than others. if you are not color changing it should be easy. Clean it really well before application, but don’t scratch it up. Get a piece of upholstery material & practice. Maybe an old door panel from pick & pull.
