Hi y'all,

Can anybody tell me if Doug's makes long tube headers for a small block in a 1967 A Body (Barracuda) with 1-3/4" primaries pipes? I've only found ones with 1-5/8" pipes (PN D453).

I have a 273 Commando in the Barracuda, and I realise that a 1-3/4" header is probably too big for a small port, small cube motor, but I intend to build a mild 340 with ported X heads in the near future.

I want a set of pipes that don't hang too low, most of the others seem to sit below the crossmember.

Thanks in advance, Chris.

Unless your mild 340 is going to push 400hp or more, 1-5/8" would be just fine. What is your intended use and hp goal?

400-420HP was the goal for my 340.
Purely for a street driven car, my Barracuda has a 4 speed box.

Mild street port on the X heads - 230 / 160 cfm peak
10:1 static comp
Comp XE274H camshaft
Factory '68 4 BBL intake
Edelbrock or Holley 750 cfm carb
