The dowel pins that the intake fits into on my 318 are not there. The holes are there on the block I know that they help line things up and keep the end seals from slipping but do I realy need them and if soo how do i ask for the pin at the parts store to get trhe right ones.Thank you very much. One day this mopar will come to life.

You dont need the pins. In fact, you dont need the end seals if you dont mind using sealer. I use Ultra Grey, or The Right Stuff. Make sure there is no oil even from finger prints on the surfaces, run a 1/4" bead on each end rail making sure to get into the corners, and lower the intake straight down on it. Let it cure overnight before you start the engine, or a few hours at least. You will need to cut it to get the intake off...lol.

Unless you are using a stock intake, be glad the dowels are not there. Haven't seen an aftermarket intake yet that was drilled for them. All they ever did for me was crack a brand new Edelbrock intake when I stupidly tried to tighten it down with the dowels in place. You don't need them to hold the end gaskets if you are careful and use spray glue on the block side of the gaskets before installation. Definitely don't need them if you use a bead of RTV. If you really got to have them though, you can get 1/8" roll pins 1/4" long at any hardware store.

well I trust you guys so no pins for me I sure dont want to crack my alum intake. Thanks for the quick help.
