drive shaft length 74 duster

I have a 904 to an 8.75 any one have the length I need, also how far should the yoke go into the tail shaft. Should I be able to see any of the yoke shaft after the drive shaft is mounted. I have to take off 2 of the bearing caps on the u-joint, push the shaft into the tail shaft as far as it will go. Then I can wiggle the u-joint into position and just get the caps on. So I don't really bring it back and the yoke is all the way up into the tail shaft. Is this correct ?? Thanks

The yoke should bottom out about 1 inch from installed.

to tight, get it shortened and balanced an inch
