I'm swapping a big block/727/8.75 into my 69 valiant and was wondering if anybody knows what length drive shaft I would need? It is a original /6 drivetrain. Is there a factory shaft that will fit?

it does not matter what engine you have, because a 727 trans mount is in the same place on a big block or small block 727, so you need a drive shaft for a Valiant with an 8 3/4 rear. My duster has a 727 and an 8 3/4 rear and the drive shaft is 44.9 inches from center to center of u-joint. I would think your Valiant would be the same, unless the wheel base is different from a duster, but I belive there the same.

FanofPetty's right. There is 2 wheelbase dimensions on A-bodies. Some A's are 108" wheelbase and others are 111'' wheelbase. I'm pretty sure your 69 valiant is 108" wheelbase which takes a 44.9" driveshaft (measured center to center of the U-joints)
