its about time for me to figure out where to buy my driveshaft from. i need a custom one, prefer an aluminum one, but will settle for a good DOM one, ive looked online at a few places, but dont know who is better/faster. it will be 30inches long at most, and the ujoint going to the rear HAS to be 7260 (only flange made to adapt to the one im using) so id like to have both ends 7290 with 2 combo 7260/7290 ujoints (will have 7260 yoke as well for 727) whos the best place to get them from? dennysdriveshaft? ive looked at a few and most steel ones go for around 300 while one company has aluminum ones for 350. which i think i would like better..anyway experiences?

also, i wanted the lokar trans mount shifter, but with the way my trans sits in the car it wont work, so is the floor mount lokar a good option? its for a 727 any other recomendations? i like the way the lokars look and can adapt my current setup to make it look alot better than a ratchet shifter. any experiences with lokar shifters? id probably only need a 8 inch long shifter at most.

If your looking online shipping is obviously not a problem. A place I have used for driveshafts, quite a few times...from complete new units to cut-downs to just rebuild and balance is MAPCO Machine in central PA...570-286-3063. They do alot of custom work for racing applications as well as street.

also, is there any advantages of getting an aluminum driveshaft over the DOM other than weight?
