driveshaft ? for engine swap

If one were to swap a smallblock to a 440, both 727s, would the smallblock driveshaft work with the 440? '75 duster.

As long as you don't change the position of the tranny cross member, and for the SB to BB swap you don't need to, the only reason that the drive shaft will need to be shortened is that you're planning to swap an 8 3/4 rear for the 8 1/4" you've got now.

If they aren't the same it would the first time I've heard of it. To be absolutely sure count the teeth
