Driveshaft length for a '68 Dart 383/727 ??

We're in the middle of building a 383/727 combo for my son's '68 Dart. The car currently has a 318/727 in it. What length (center-center) driveshaft do I need for the big block in the Dart? Can I just shorten the 318 driveshaft or is there a BB-specific driveshaft I should use ?

If it were my car I'd just wait until I got the engine in place in order to properly measure for a new drive shaft unit
