Want to know if the oil pan can be dropped without lifting the engine? I have looked into this and am getting mixed answers. Some say yes, some no. I have an oil leak at the rear of the pan. This is a new install with less than 1000 miles on it. Engine bay is all custom and detailed heavily. I would rather deal with a small leak than to risk damaging anything in the engine compartment, let alone the additional labor to do that. If the pan will drop in the front and clear the K member, no problem. This is a 340 T/A with the factory windage tray. Not sure if that matters. Already removed steering linkage and tranni is also out for a torque converter change.
