Dry Ice Blasting

Never used it on cars but have used it to blast soot off of brickwork. It's CO2 so don't lock yourself up in a garage and try it.
 
holy crap, at first it sounds like an oxymoron, "non-abrasive" but go download the video of the harley that they cover with polyurethane that looks like spray foam... I'm impressed.

Wildcat, I've heard that also, I think it's due to the expansion and contraction of the metal when cooled and heated rapidly.
 
Wow.. wish I had one of those. After watching that Harley vid, it's too bad they didn't use that ployurethane om that old Plymouth years ago. A quick blast from the dry ice,and voila - a true time capsule lol.
