Duel exhaust fit

Looking at putting dual exhaust on 65 Dart, was slant six now has 318. Looking at tranny cross-member it's notched on drivers side for exhaust pipe. The cross-member is not notched on passenger side so pipe would have to go below. Is there a different cross-member for V-8 that allows exhaust openings on both side to tuck in closer to underside?

We used to mod a lot of cross members at an exhaust shop I used to work at. We did it a lot on GM cars.(Cutlass, Monte Carlo, Grand Prix) We would torch out a half circle from the x-member and weld in half of a 3" piece of exhaust pipe. It worked great.
