Duel snorkle mounting?

Can any one tell me the correct placement for a duel snorkle scoop on a 73 duster hood? Mainly how far back to the end of the hood it mounts.

3 and1/4 inches from rear of scoop to rear of hood on my Dart Sport.

I read a psot somewhere that if you mount the scoop on a duster hood in the same location as an original scooped dart hood, the scoop will look too far forward. I am wondering this too as I am planning a scoop installation on my 74 duster. "MY340" may have been the person who posted this.
