Does anyone know who made snubber style traction bars for a body. Thought mine were Lakewood but when removed to clean up and repaint under all the years of paints mine were orange. Every pair of Lakewood bars I have ever had were yellow. Just wondering, they are yellow now and back on the car.

You can get the snubber lots of places. I think one of them is a sponsor here on FABO.

Edit: It's PST. They should have them.

I would think a high-end suspension shop wouldn't be dealing in slapper bars...

I don't need any parts, just wondering who made them. I left them on for the old school look. Just can't remember what brand sold them in orange.

When I sanded them down the original decal was covered by other decals and they just crumbled so could not make them out. Guess it doesn't matter, was just curious.

My thoughts. They were painted yellow, under that was white, and the original color was the orange. I have seen other types of bars that were orange but not the snubber type. Like I sad before it doesn't really matter, I just am working with a very old and worn out memory.

I can't remember for the life of me where I stumbled into mine or if I already had them on the car when I bought it. But I did have a friend give me a set of lakewoods that were Chrome and they did not fit on the Duster as they didn't have long enough extensions to reach over the shock plate. I assume there for a Chevy or something? Also they weren't long enough as they did not reach the eyelet. If they don't reach all the way up to the eyelet and they hit back on the Spring they'll bend it..

Also if you don't mount little red bullet lights behind them that come on with your Park lights you're not cool...

            Just sayin..

They fit the car, were on it when I bought it last fall. The shocks also mount on them. Snubber is right under spring eye. It still has factory pinion snubber so I don't understand why they were put on but they look cool. And yes I remember the little red lights, might even put some on. Had a Roadrunner back in the 70's that had same type traction bar. Don't remember it it had pinion snubber or not but if you sidestepped the clutch at 4 grand and burried your foot in throttle it got daylight under the driver front tire.

I remember going to the truck stop to buy the red cone lights for the rear end and buying amber lights to put in the grill. Back then you couldn't get blue but some guys would use green. I have a 70 340 swinger that I'm working on now but leaving it mostly stock. Got it in paint a few weeks ago and tomorrow a guy is coming out to install the new vinyl top. Trying to get as much done before I haul it back to Washington at the end of the month. One nice thing about winter in Arizona, the weather is perfect for working on the cars.

I just got those at the local parts store everybody has them.. they're dirt cheap..
My only reason for putting them on for real was one of my old high school friends said remember when you had those little lights on your 73 javelin back in high school when we used to cruise 82nd? and I laughed and the next day I went out and bought them and put them on the car and took a picture and showed him and we both laughed...
