hey guys

im hoping to drop a 360 in my 71 duster here shortly
the 360 will have a chrome single nipple breather instead of the 2 nipple that was on the /6 which means I have no where to go with the tank vent
can I just put a small T in the hose running from the breather to the airfilter?

or would it make more sense to install a small nipple in the air cleaner to hook that hose up to ?

(wasn't sure if that would create a vacuum in the tank under load)

With the 71 venting system vented into the crankcase, via that extra nipple on the breather. If you don't use that breather the easiest thing to do is leave it there to atmosphere vent. Put a small fuel filter on the end of it so crud or bugs or something doesn't get into the open line and clog it.

that sounds simple enough

I just wasn't sure if there would be any adverse effects of doing it that way

The only other way I would do it is if you want to hook up a charcoal canister, properly. Most people don't elect to do that so atmosphere venting is the easiest thing.

I would not T that line into anything. Like you said don't chance creating a vacuum (even a slight one) in the fuel tank.
