alright...here is the question. I have my 73' duster, with a 451 stroker , 3" exhaust with X-Pipe, flowmaster 40 series and dumps before the rear axle. I love the sound when cruising or gettin' on the pedal, but when cruisin' on the highway or in traffic below 2 grand, my ears pretty much bleed from the resonance. Has anyone put 3" tailpiles on their duster ( i was under the impression 2-1/4" was the largest size that would fit.) If so....can you show a pic. Thanks guys!

Finding someone who can mandrel bend the tubes sharp enough to fit can be an issue. Accurate Exhaust sells stock looking 2 1/2" tailpipes.

I have 2-1/2 pipes to the bumper. Try Summit racing or Jegs for 3 inch pipes. There are fellas here that have used and show pictures of these 3 inch exhaust's under there car.

I hear ya (barely :-D) on the noisy FlowBastards. My 340 Demon has 3" tubes, no crossover and dumps before the rear axle. The noise gets old real quick. I'd like a set of tailpipes too but my springs have been moved inboard. Going to take some doing for me to get 3" tailpipes. Good luck to you.

I have 3" tail pipes on my '74 Duster, The hangers were a pain but thats TTIs fault. They fit, they are tight but they fit.

Scroll down, this post is before I ran in to problems with the TTI hangers:

perfect!..thanks for all the help guys. Looks like i am going fo rthe TTI's. I thought that they needed to run beside the fram rail, but these look like they ride underneith, then bend over to a turn down (just what i wanted). Thanks for the help!..always appreciated.
