I bought an OEM snorkel scoop for my Demon..I haven't put it in yet, so there's a chance I bought the wrong one..? I never knew there was a difference. I'd like to see the two side by side.. I'm not sure what to look for to see if mine is right for the Demon..
 
In post number 5 u can see the Center is raised a little on the bottom. The one u need is flat on the bottom. Post some pics of yours. Kim

Well, it appears I was sold the wrong f'ing scoop...

Yes , It is the lower front that unscrews with 4 screws that is different. Hard to find unmolested for a 72. They are usually modified to fit different hoods. 73 style will fit a 70-72 duster hood without any mods. or any hood with a rib. 72 will only fit flat hoods unless you grind them out which usually happens to them.
 
The one on my duster was from a dart sport....to be honest it wasnt hard to modify and sometimes it needs to be raised for air filter or intake space with a hperf engine , id rather have an original one than the cheap made repops , they are very ugly , my friend bought one and returned it right away.
