duster data tags....

got a question about my 71 dusters' data plates. I've run the numbers and everything is understood,on the first one......the second plate simply has "2C" stamped on it...?? no where can I find a "2C" in anything I've looked in. so i'm stumped. I run into a seemingly quite smart mopar fella at a car show once.I posed my question to him and without hesitation he said that it was #2 car of a very limited production run of that model ,color ,option package etc..made since I guess with no other explanation ever offered.
So my "A" brothers, any thoughts..?

Smaller secondary tag?

If so......

It was inspected by 2C - whoever that was.

I wouldn't doubt that either,however , I've owned more than a dozen A's from 69 to 73,and don't recall any secondary tags what so ever. anyway you are probably spot on with that. Thanks....

Some plants used them, some did not & it also varies by model year also.
