Duster half vinyl roof trim question.

I'm trying to find out what holds the trim across the roof on dusters with the half vinyl roof option? Studs or are they just stuck on? I'm assuming not holes drilled in the roof, sounds leaky and a pain to weld up.
Just want to know to help in my deciding on which car to buy.

One screw at each side by gutter. Studs with these plastic clips across the rest (5-6)

Cool, so wouldn't be too hard to grind the studs down then hopefully?
