Duster quarter window fitment

Getting the car ready for paint, given we replaced a quarter panel and done extensive body work wanted tot make sure the quarter windows all fit nicely in case of any adjustments required prior to paint.
Its been a few years since i have seen the car together, are the gaps i have normal. The bottom of the window rubber has a gap to the quarter panel. Should this be tight?. I will be doing all new rubbers etc once its all painted not sure that will make a difference have rubbers shrunk. All origianl screw holes line up.
Also where the drip mould joins in near the back corner of the quarter window has a messy panel overlap. Is this normal or was this smoothed over from factory. Car has been sand blasted etc.

Drivers side need to fix a fold in the quarter as its a new panel and not quite pressed right. However apart from that the quarter fits a bit tighter than the other side.

I had the same issue with my 74 Duster rebuild. I overhauled the quarter windows and got all new gaskets. All the attachment holes lined up when Input it back in, but there was still a small gap. After messing with it a few days with no luck, I chose to use some good black sealant to fill the gap and smoothed it down. It keeps water out and you have to look pretty close to see that I used sealant.

Here is how it looks on my 71 Duster from the factory. I inserted a ruler into the gap between the rubber gasket and the panel. The ruler has a taper of 1-5 millimeter where the 3 mm thickness is where the numerals are no longer visible.

Perfect pics mate, so yep i should be able to get them better once i have the new rubbers as these may have evn shrunk from the California heat. Need to make sure painter paints perfectly under the drip rails as i forgot the chrome doesn't cover much

Yep worst case scenario ill have to throw a bit of sika flex but hopefully can get the rubbers to work
