good morning, im converting my 73 Duster into a 71 model, i just think the 70-71 looks better, anyway my question is about the inner fender splash guard.. im putting on 70-71 fenders so do i put the plastic 73 splash guards back in or will i now need the 70-71 steel splash guards. can someone that has done this please advise me what will fit, i have acess to the plastic and steel guards, i prefer not to modify if possible.. thanks all...Rich

If you are making a swap or clone or what ever you want to label it- do what you want - it’s your car. Getting around those shock absorbing bumper mounts would be the toughest part to me of the whole conversion.

dano... thats exactly what im asking, and i also have steel ones if the plastic wont work... are the mounting locations the same ?

Hello Tinman, I don’t have the steel ones in front of me so I can’t compare

No problem at all. Mine is a 74 with a 71 valiant front end and rear bumper. Kim
