In my new sig. pic. there is a Duster and a Twister,my question what is the difference between the 2?
Is it just the name or were there different options between the 2?

Just curious. :D

Here's a start:
What is a Duster Twister?
The Twister package (A51) was introduced mid-1971. It in essence is a car that looks like a 340 car, but isn't. It shares the same grill, colors, stripes and hood as the 340 Dusters but not the power plant. This Twister is powered by a 318 2 bbl, which was an option. The slant 6 was standard for the Duster Twister.
The Twister package was available in 1971, 1972 and 1973.

HemiDave is correct. It was also Chrysler's attempt to give the flash of the Duster 340, without the higher Insurance costs associated with the 340 V8 powerplant.

According to what you guys are telling me i owned a 71 Twister and didn't even know it!

It had rallye wheels with no trim rings(i still have the wheel),the hood was painted like the Twister in my sig. pic. (no scoops though)and the stripes on the end of the qtrs it had some kind of swirl design in it.
I always wondered about the stripes and didn't even give it a thought to it being a Twister.
The cars long gone now stripped it of the few good parts it had and the rest went for scrap.

As I thought and as the picture shows, the hood was actually different than the 340 Duster. The stobe looking stripes in the center vs. the solid black. I like the Twister hood better. That has to be one of the best looking non-hi-po cars they ever built.
