E Body Crossmember on A Body Forum

‘72 E body tranny crossmember fit in anything else other than E’s? Ooooohhh say an A body?
I don't do E’s so I have no experience.
Just traded a cam for a ‘72 Challenger 904 and got the crossmember.

I'm surprised a transmission cross member is different between platforms. The transmission size wouldn't change, unless the transmission itself was a different model. Why go through the trouble of making a transmission cross member for each platform?

I will be using a modified 67-72 transmission crossmember in my 65 Dart with a 42RH transmission

My 63 Belvedere was a 3 on the tree. Now a 904 using the stock manual trans cross member with a A body mount pre 73.
Cut drill weld done.

ebodies specifically have different crossmembers per year and per transmission.
Ebody won't fit an Abody.
