I bought most of this stuff earlier this year, hoping to score a 68 GTS project that a guy had promised me. Well, so much for people keeping their word... Picked-up another project so I gotta let go...

Very early 1st year 340 bare block. Fully machined this past spring, .030 over with caps. Fully checked out, align bored and honed with deck plate, etc. Had one sleeve. Have receipt.

Cast 6/22/67 and I think it was assembled in September of 67...(It’s all wrapped up now) But has to be one of the very first 340’s to go into production. Super-find for someone looking to do a period correct GTS/Formula S. Core plugs and Cam bearings installed. No Crank, but have a friend who may part with one reasonably. Asking $2500

Pair of bare X Heads. 1968-71 P/N 2531894. These were checked-over by the machine shop, but only hot tanked. No valves or springs, but I have a pair of rocker shafts, adjustable arms and new adjustable screws. I believe I have a set of cup pushrods as well. Whatever I have for the heads can go with it. Asking $700

A-body 8 3/4 housing, complete and unaltered w/backing plates and original small bolt axles. I think I only have one brake drum. Asking $700
(Have a couple sets of gears available at add’l cost if you need a set)

Other misc:
2 sets of small bolt 14x5.5 wheels in nice shape
67-68 Dog dish caps, Dodge and Plymouth
Small block 727 core, flex plate(s)

7.25 rear shock plates

Did this come out of a manual trans car or an automatic? And if it was a manual car, do you have the original camshaft?

Dang. If it was a manual trans, there would be a spline in the crank flange. You don’t know what happened to the cam?

Can you please post pictures of the vin numbers that are stamped on the top rear drivers side of the block where the transmission would bolt next to?

Sorry, I believe I failed to snap pic of that before I wrapped it up and stored. I’ve got to move some cars and things but will try to do so soon. In the meantime, I’ll look back at photos or see if I wrote down...

Stamping at back of block was tough to get pic, but appears to be a machinist stamp: 8PT3T 8(or)6 JJ(upside down) 3
Front of block below head pic below: Assembled Sept 5, ‘67...correct??
I couldn’t get to the pan rail #’s without moving everything out of the garage. Maybe next weekend.

My bad, Sorry Joeychgo and thanks for heads up.

I do not have the edit option at the bottom of my initial post. A few posts down I was able to get in and on my screen, delete those lines...But, for some reason it’s still appearing on the post. I want to get it corrected, please help and sorry for the inconvenience!
