EARLY 904 missing parts?

Hey guys so I’m taking this 904 apart. Having a hard time removing pump. Removed the valve body and I noticed there was no parking rod. It had park in the car, because it’s a cable shift, so I don’t think it came with a park rod. Although there seems to be a case hole for one. Thanks.

The park is engaged with the small housing on the bottom of transmission just behind the pan. Your transmission had no park rod.
 
Cable shift trans have 2 cables.. the one to shift with and one for park that goes in the yellow circle..

That’s as I expected. Thanks for confirming that. Been overthinking I guess. Any tips for the pump? Been alternating a slide hammer to both holes to no avail.

Nope.. usually a few pulls with a slide hammer will do it... not to sound silly but you have the slide hammer screwed into the threads in the pump and not deeper into the case? (have to ask... cause ya know... people)
