Early 9in hubs, vs. Late 9in hubs?????

Any one know if there is a deference between 1965 9in drum hubs, and 1970 9in drum hubs? They look about the same to me, but deferent drums are listed for the two. So I am not sure if the hubs are the same or not. Thanks for any help!!!!!

it might be it is just a matter of finned vs non-finned drums---- check to see if they take the same bearings & seals-- if so good to go. I think up to 72 you would be ok, Lawrence

The hubs are the same. The '70-'72 finned drums are definitely the ones to pick; they're much more massive and therefore don't fade as badly or as quickly.

I have one nice finned drum, they were on my 65 when I got it. But the other one is trash. Ordered some new stock ones, but sure would like to find a really nice finned one to match.
